Conspiracy of Geniuses

Queeratine: an archive of the times

Queer and Trans Artists invited to apply for the last few spots in forthcoming anthology

This summer, Conspiracy of Geniuses (CoG) presents Queeratine: an archive of the times, an anthology of multimedia art and writing created by queer artists with intersectional identities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Queer, trans, disabled and/or neurodivergent artists of color have been deprived, overlooked, erased and attacked during this apocalypse… yet, we have been making, writing and organizing. Years from now, Queeratine will serve as a history to proclaim, ‘we were here, we survived, and we will be seen.’ Today, the publication is a chance for marginalized creatives to gain visibility and be paid for their contributions to Queeratine.

Only five spots remain, so submit a proposal today at conspiracyofgeniuses.org/queeratine to be featured alongside individuals such as:

  •  Laura LeMoon (activist and writer, as seen in Vice, Huffington Post)
  •  Jordan Christianson (whose work is featured on RuPaul’s Drag Race and in hotel Motif Seattle)
  • Ade Connere (musician, model, actor and activist)

As we work to produce Queeratine, CoG unrelentingly champions voices that have been underrepresented, voices that must be heard during these dark and radical times. As a Black and Indigenous led Queer and Trans consortium, we are prioritizing the representation of artists of color who are disabled, neurodivergent, survivors of violence, current or former sex wokers and/or recovering addicts.

  • it’s powered by radical, accessible and decolonizing (RAD) care and mutual aid
  • it’s a project to democratize and redefine success for marginalized artists
  • its review panel is composed of disabled and neurodivergent QTBIPOC artists
  • it’s led by those most impacted by the social, material and political conditions of the past year
  • its contents are curated, yet uncensored explorations of politicized identities

Conspiracy of Geniuses is a mutual care and aid network for, and led by, intersectional QTBIPOC artists, empowering its most marginalized members, who identify as Indigenous, Black, Disabled, Migrant, and/or as a current or former Sex Worker. CoG has been creating queer art and cultural events in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest since 2004.
